absolutely
and the same could be said for almost all other boy bands. one direction isn’t special in that regard. they just came by at the time when you needed them most.
jon taught me that it’s okay to not know how to face your fears so long as you spend time searching and getting to know yourself. eventually he was able to overcome them and has been highly successful not only within the band but also on his own.
danny taught me that there is nothing like the love of a mother. the bond so strong that even after death you’ll do anything to keep their memory alive. we all love and remember betty, because she loved danny so much.
donnie taught me that it is important not to let people put you in a bubble. he was the “bad boy” with a bad image, but he’s spent years not letting that effect him. he shows up to work each day just to prove to everyone that he’s got one of the best work ethics i have ever seen.
jordan taught me that just because you aren’t always at the top of your game it doesn’t mean that you should give up. there would be hits and there would be blunders, but he stayed true to himself. he wasn’t flashy in the headlines, but he kept consistently making music and he sings one of my favorite duets of all time with debbie gibson. life is good when you’re doing what you love.
joey mac taught me that you can stand out even if you’re from a large family. he also taught me that it’s important to start a social discussion about issues that are near and dear to you even if people won’t always agree with you. he also taught me how to set boundaries in a polite enough yet firm enough way.

this one is for you kiddo!
it is the smallest things in life that bring smiles to our faces. today i went to see my friend jose on my lunch break and now i can’t stop smiling. tonight i have a present for one of the girls. it’ll continue the smile
although i’ll disagree slightly and say that sometimes force is necessary. i’ve always believed that whenever possible diplomacy should be used, because it seems that most people can come to a civil agreement that will end their problems. people usually start wars over some inherent need or access to a resource, but there are times when it does become necessary to assert yourself for the betterment of society. it is important though not to be a bully.
my day
damn straight
i miss girls night
why don’t i meet men like this?
Story of a Five Year-Old Avenger, Meeting the Avengers
“Hi, Loki!” my wife said (100% sure she didn’t know Tom Hiddleston’s name). “Can my son get a picture with you?” she asked. “Can I put him on my shoulders?” Loki asks. “Um … okay?” is Jill’s response and hands Tom Hiddleston our son. He hoists him up on to his shoulders (I should mention that this guy is like 8 feet tall), and my wife takes out her Blackberry, only to find that it’s on its last battery leg. Nonetheless she manages to get a couple of shots. Hiddleston puts Edison down, shakes his hand and says goodbye…
… Evans crouches down next to Edison, who extends his hand and shakes the hand of The First Avenger. “Can I see your shield?” Evans asks and Edison hands his battered toy shield over. “Wow, you’re getting a lot of use out of this. You fighting a lot of bad guys with this?” he asks. Chris Evans and Edison proceed to have a conversation about the finer points of shields and fighting the enemy.
